Inle Lake - rest day.
There are hardly any words needed today as the pictures should tell it all. That is if I can ever get them uploaded on the extremely weak wifi. You might have to wait until Mandalay for those. A marvellous programme had been arranged for us by H&H and Inspirations Myanmar, who are traveling with us. They're are a delightful team, led by the gorgeous Zani. In short, it has been a day of:
Culture
History
Overwhelming Beauty
Education
& lots and lots and LOTS of laughter.
To make it totally perfect, car 2 is now happily waiting in the car park to continue the adventure.
Alas,Adrian missed it all as he was working on the car. The mechanical team were hard at work too and had a full day of fixing various problems on cars - all of which (hopefully) seem to have been resolved. The DB6, however, will be limping to Mandalay where new shock absorbers have been flown in for it.
Tomorrow is a short driving day, to Pindaya, but the roads are very rough so driving will be slow. We get to have a lie in though as our start time is not until 10. The individual teak bungalows we are staying in are so fantastic that we hardly want to leave. We are being thoroughly spoilt on this rally.
Great to hear car 2 is back up & running, well done,Adrian & co! The photos are wonderful, wonder which headgear Barbara will come back with this time? A lie-in & being spoilt must be such a treat. Hope the next few days go really well.

Barbara - wow! I am bowled over by the scenery and the descriptions of your journey. What a beautiful place to be travelling. Very pleased that car 2 is back in the pack and I look forward to hearing more. Such a contrast with wet and stormy UK!
